Last friday,I walked out our factory zone. On the road, there was a truck holding some watermelon.

I wanted to buy a watermelon and walked to the truck.

Then a woman came to me and asked" may i help u?" "How much is the watermelon?" I answered.  She said"7 mao".

I picked a watermelon and let her to weight it. It was 6RMB.Then I found there was only a 50RMB banknote and a 100RMB banknote. I took the 50RMB to her and she shook the money. I didn't see what movement in her hands.But she told me the banknote missed a small corner. I thought the cornor didn't affect its function. I took it back and then gave her 100RMB. She shook it same way. Then the man came to us and said the 50RMB was ok. Then I took back the 100RMB. But I detected the money had some problems.

I found the word  in banknote couldn't change color in different light directions. My money was a brand new one still. I took it back. Then he gave me my charge. I walked back.But I thought the money was false. So I took it out and checked it carefully. It was a false one indeed.

I thought it twice. It must be that the woman change it after I give my money to her. It was a trap.Then I phoned to 110. When I phoned to 110. The truck escaped. Unfortunately I missed see the truck No.

Later I went to a police office to express what happened.

Because I am a quality member. I let such a quality issue happen in front of me. I felt very shamed. What made me unhappy is the issue and isn't the money.

The cheaters,the false products makers and nonconformance makers are my enemy.I can't underestimate my enemy.

This week I am boring of pushing German company to provide acceptance test report for the batch goods imported from it.But unfortunately German said the company didn't have the acceptance test report for the type of products.

Another side my boss put pressure on me. Because our customer always asked him to provide acceptance test report. While the products were imported from Germany completely. The customer can't accept our own test report.

One side says no. One side says must provide.

I am between two side. What can I do?

I send 3 emails to German contactor. First email she answered no. Then next ones, she absolutely ignored.

Today in toilet, I met my boss and he asked me how about the test report. I answer no. He made a joke and said I thought you gave me a surprise.

Shit. I hope I could give you a surprise.But German didn't give me surprise.

I learnt the relation between Germany and China was not friendly at present.Germany support tibet independance.But it is absurd. Why can they do like this? At lest we are a same group.

Today is monday. Monday is new week beginning.

In this week I am not sure whether we will get the order. We are still free.

Last week my computer in my home didn't work. When I turn on, It begins buzzing.

Then I unsettled the computer. And cleaned it completely.  I saw the cream on CPU dry. But I couldn't find a little. After cleaning,I mount them all.

The computer can work when I turn on the power. After an hour, the computer dies when I was killing virus. Then  I use the keys "Alt+Ctrl+Del" to restart it. But it didn't work. I only pressed reset. It will restart again. Unfortunately, after a while the computer shut off again.

I am not sure whether it  is because the problem of cream on the CPU and thermal moudle.

I hope there are some experts giving me some guiding.

Yesterday my boss asked me to find some documents for importing parts. While the importing parts were bought by our logistical member. I didn't have any information about them.

When I got the order from my boss. I can't say it is not my job.The words are not applicable. But it is not what I can finish by myself  indeed.

Then I ask logistical girl to ask for corresponding documents from our subsidiary in German.But she asked me to provide purchase order. How can I have the PO?  I wonder. Boss didn't say it to me. Last year we only bought a batch of goods from the subdidiary. You really can't search it in your computer. I am puzzled. I controlled myself and didn't lose my temper. I saw product manager and asked him to look for the purchase order. Since I don't have the right to search importing PO informations. Of course product manager puzzled that the logistical girl knew the information in detail.

Then I went to the warehouse and took the packing list and scaned it to logistical girl. I asked her to help asking for the documents again, and copy it to Boss. 

At noon, my boss saw me and said to me" you are responsible for following up the documents." It is a difficult job in such a company.Since you can't see teamwork when meeting problems.But you have to follow up.

What responsibility QC takes for goods over deadline in warehouse?

Why do I ask such a question? I meet a problem about it. Last month we moved our warehouse and office. After moving and checking inventory,we detected there was a kind of material over deadline in warehouse. The material was imported from headquarter and very expensive. Since our use quantity is very small.While we import it too much. So far there are many stocking in our warehouse. Then I send email to Headquarter to ask how to handle them.

Headquarter gives me an answer "due to safety and functional reason, don't use them any more." It is too pity. It is a big money losing.

For the wasting, I ask myself what responsibility QC takes for it. To be honest, if QC audited the warehouse timely, they would detect the problems earlier. Then QC could feedback the information to corresponding departments. It might reduce the losing.

Of course the problem root cause happens in produce control. They shouldn't ask to purchase so much the material.While produce control applys purchaser requirement according to Sales demanding.Whether the sales department miss the market? I don't know. Another side  warehouse keeper should feedback the stocking information to produce control when inventoring. All the procedures are not followed. So big problems happens in quality system. QC should feedback the failure information to quality management representative. But there is no quality managment representative in the subsidiary.

So how to prevent the problem happen again? I am a small gun. I can't arrange others. I can only say "it is too pity".

What I can do? I can feedback the checking information to General manager. I can report to GM what I see.But It is a little dangerous.

When I finish last daily.I think I miss something in fact. I forget the monthly report completely.

In this morning, I watch TV about European Cup final match,Spain VS Germany.

Spain dominates the match and arranges many times attacking. About 33 minutes of first half, No.9 Torres goaled firstly for Spain. Then the score was kept until match was over.

It was very close football match. While during watching the match. I think many guys are watching the match in China.But chinese team never gets so many supporters. It is a little like Chinese manufactory quality.

Though many people have to wave hands and cry for self football team. It never makes us confidence. I have to admire European teams. Like many manufactory products, I want to support the products made in China. While we always disappoint for them.

I hope some day Chinese can wave and cry for self football team in world match. Chinese can take pride for self products. We are not  only cheap.

Today is last day of June. Mark,my boss, asks me to send the monthly report to him in email.

In fact, I have finished my monthly report last Friday. But at present I am not sure whether I need send it to him.

Since this year sales applyied to go resident place to work. Mark has cancelled the week meeting. Then nobody says whether we need make monthly report. Another side, we have little business. We almost compile the montly report with some plan. But we never carry out the plan.So some people didn't send the report to him. When I finished the report on last Friday, I read it again.I found it was hollow. I dare not send it out.

While Mark sent me email to ask about the monthly report. I have to send it to him hurry.

I guess it has been his habit. When he finds he has nothing to do today. He remember someone misses sending him report. So he asks me to send it to him.

In fact it is not a good thing. I must learn sending the report to him no matter what I do. Though the monthly report is hollow. He doesn't care. I guess what he cares is his habit. He need find something to do.

At present, my friends ask me to recommend some quality members to them.

One is my forward colleague.He joined another company as a purchaser supervisor. He wants to find a supplier quality engineer for his team. I recommend him a girl who ever was my underling.I think she is very hardworking. It is important that she knows what her boss needs her to do. She can communicate well with her boss and inspectors. She can monitor the inspectors when I left for working. So I first think her when my friend asked me about candidate. But the girl just marrys and  will be pregant. So Friend doesn't accept her.

Today, another friend asks me to recommend a quality supervisor to him. As he said,he met some problems about quality. His customer might cancel his approved supplier qualification. He worried very much. He hopes that I can help him. He won't recruit somebody in Human Resource. He hope find someone can handle something really and soon.

Work several years, I find some persons can't find approprite jobs and some company can't recruit approprite employees. Why? Really is it education problems?

I am puzzled.I have sent some resumes out. While no a company informs me to interview.

By the experience accumlating, I  think I am easy to find a new job.But the result is not like what i think.

What is the problem? Is it because Chinese economic is not good this year.

I am not sure.I am struggling in present company.

My partner Mike left when his contract was full. My contract was full as well.I don't know how long I can stay here. My company business is still small in China.

Colleagues are used to kill time by playing game and study English in working time.Some persons can stay at the front of computer for several hours without any movement.I admire them. I call them Zen master.

While I can't do like this. I am alone. I like walk around along our workshop. In the past  I walk from Unit A to Unit B. But at the begin of this month, unit B has been returned to the landlord. I just walk in a smaller workshop.

Getting information from Email, HQ may release some PO to us.While God knows when they send it to us. Before spring festival, we have heard it. Then Mike and I went to some suppliers to chat about cooperation. But several months later, they asked us to quote again. The present purchaser likes talk with the suppliers alone. I appreciate what he does.

I hope he can complish it really. But he always asked us to support when he made trouble. I am unhappy.

Stay alone,I have to learn something.

Last friday my boss didn't talk with me.Today he doesn't say anything with me.I don't know what it means.

I am boring.Today we will delivery two products.While the products appearance is checked NG. It has been rejected two times.  Since the contract of delivery is full. The sale warns us to be care of punishment for delaying delivery.

Regarding urgent delivery, we can't rework the profiles.The profiles aren't anodized well. Under enough light source,the surface looks dirty with oxidization.But we have to assemble them firstly. Last saturday produce line had finished assembly.I check them this morning. I have no idea whether customer can accept them satisfiedly.Cosmetic inspection for products, there are many subject factors affecting decision. Furthermore, we have detailed cosmetic inspection standard. While base on customers' view, I must assure to delivery best products to them.

Between delivery and quality, I have to find a balance point. Anyway I let the products go through. But I am boring I was forced. The worst thing is that the purchaser doesn't take his responsibility. At the beginning, he released the purchase order and didn't follow it up.It caused the supplier to delay anodizing them.Furthermore the supplier didn't pack them firstly,which cause some parts scratched. When the supplier sends them back and we check it  NG. We informed the problems to supplier and purchaser.While supplier can't cooperate well and the purchaser can't push it.I feel I am forced.I am not happy.

My contract is full.

From last year, my company business is smaller and smaller. This year many employees have left when their contracts are full or they find new jobs.

I don't know whether my boss will keep me. He doesn't have a talk to me so far after  HR send the information to him.

Anyway, I don't care what the result is.

The company business is not good.Many employees plan to find other jobs,me too.

Some guy asks me,"what position do you want?"

I think twice. For money, I don't care,manager,supervisor,engineer.

In my heart, I intent to apply manager. 3 Years ago, I planed to be a manager in 5 years. While 3 years later,I am still a engineer. By age changing, I know i am not approprite to be an engineer.

What is next step? But for family and money, I have to take more pressure.I have to prepare for being a manager.I know I am not young. I can't challenge with the young graduaters.

Prepare for being a manager, otherwise no way.

Why I choose such a topic? I can explain it in a small story that happened today.

Last saturday I bought a air-conditioner from Guomei. Yesterday the shop sent it to me as our agreement. Today it will help me install it.

But at noon,I didn't get any information when the operater will install it. I phoned to the mart. The server told me hold on and she would check it. Then she told me she missed the mission and asked me to postpone setting up tomorrow. I answered it was unreasonable.Tomorrow my wife would go hometown and I had to go work. i stated we had a agreement about setting up today. Later she phoned to me and told that they arranged two guys to set up for me today.

We were waiting at home until 2:30pm. The two workers came. When they came in, they told us that we should pay 24RMB for their trip. I said when I bought the air-conditioner,the sale told me it was freely set up. What was meaning of trip fee? The two guy won't set up for me without trip fee.

I think it is very unreasonable and I phoned to GuoMei mart. They apologized to me for the trip fee and asked the workers to help me to set up it free charge.

But the two workers were very upset and said something in low voice. I knew they were not happy. When they set up,they damaged the therm moudle. Though it maybe not inference with the function. It makes me unhappy. I can't know it is caused intentionally or unintentionally. I dare to say it has something to do with the trip fee.

Last day I watched a TV programmer about National Theater.

As you know, National Theater is a building  looking like a bird egg.Beking residents call it bird egg. And the stadium for 2008 olympic game is a buliding looking like a bird nestle. All people in world call it bird nestle.

I don't want to talk the name of the building.I care the quality problem.

The National Theater designer is French great designer whose name is Paul Andrew. French DE GAULLE airport building was designed by him. Unfortunately, the airport gallery collapsed in May 2004.

Ever many people doubted the safety of National Theater. I am afraid I am not qualified to assess the design of building. I talk about the welding.

For the arc roof,there are many steel structure welding. Every welding point was checked by Ultrasonic wave.It must be re-welded if inspector checked NG.

For such a building, everyone cares the quality instead of cost. The quality will be best in this way. If Chinese manufacturers can produce products base on such ideals,I guess Chinese cars can conquer all countries markets.

My personal opinions, just for National quality members thinking.

I read an article about techology and management for Quality member.The article says quality member should have 30% technology and 70% quality management. I agree to its opionion.

I remember a story in my last job period.Some day I and my colleague who was an Industry engineer rode two hours to a supplier. The supplier would help us to produce PCBA. It was a new project try run. I was responsible to check the supplier inspection. And the engineer was responsible for produce process. After first piece PCBA went through the wave weld oven,we detected a component had some problem. In the drawing, a pin of triode need go through a magnet ring. While it will cause the triode crooked. It will cause components touch and the pin pool welding.  The supplier asked the engineer how to do. The engineer called to his boss to feedback the problems. His boss answered it was a new project. He didn't know how to do and said you would be back to ask designer if you couldn't solve it.  When he told me the problem and suggested us to go back. I asked whether we went out 4 hours without doing anything.He said nothing.  I looked the triode and PCB. I found a edge of PCB and cut it.Then I put it under the triode and kept the triode balance on an unfinished PCB. I asked the supplier to let it go though the Weld Oven. The PCBA went out and we found the triode was well welded. Then I asked the supplier to do as I did. Fortunately, the new project order was not too much. Soon we finished them and we took them back. I felt happy to solve a problem.

It is a small story. Why I write it down? I found many local suppliers even including ourselves won't find ways when they meet problems even. In fact, it is not difficult when we think twice about the problem. Tecnology is very important of course. But the ideals might be more important. As a quality member, he/she should keep the ideal of think ways instead of excuse. What's more, we have to spread the ideals to our suppliers and let them think problems with same way.

After lunch, I am boring to gossip with my colleagues.

Then we argue about pressure.

I say a man who has married and had a baby has more pressure than another man who doesn't marry.

He don't think so.He think the guy who hasn't baby and wife have more pressure.

I ask him what is pressure. He says the guy has nothing. So he has more pressure.I ask him whether he thinks the guy demanding more has more pressure.He says yes. I say the baby has little demanding,whether he has more pressure? He says of course.

I say since the guy who married and had a baby has to take more responsibility. Of course he will take more pressure.Pressure depands on his responsibility instead of desire.

But he insists on his opinions pressure from desire. And I stict to pressure from responsibility.

He says a man who married and had a baby can divorce.At lest he married and had a baby.But a becholor had nothing.So the becholor had more pressure.

I can't bear his word. The man can divorce.But he still takes responsibility to take care of baby. The pressure is still there.

We argue aloud with face blush.I am angry to say shut up.He says shut up too.

It is very interesting. After arguement, I write this article.I have no ideal whose opinions are right. Maybe we should find a way to relax our pressure.

Every person can't stop study everyday in fact.Especially for a quality member,he/she can't stop study for a while.I think so.

Since my profession that I majored in is not good.After graduation, I hardly found a job.Latter I tried my best to hunt a job.But I didn't like it and quit it soon. Later I find again and quit  again for several times. Little by little,I thought I couldn't find a propriate job.

Now I work as a Quality member for several years. Though I don't like it ,I have to do it for money.

It is very hard to become a quality member.I guess you will realize it when you become a quality member. So quality member often changes job. What's more they often change different industries.Take me as a sample, The industries I worked includes Electronics,Fibre materials,cable assembly,notebook,therm moudle,package material,uninterruptive power supplier,door systems.And I ever sold commerical inssurance. Every time joining in a new company, I had many challenge in study new knowledge.I know when I stop study in the company,I will leave for other company.

While back to pratical live, our local suppliers don't have the quality concepts at all. For example, a supplier made a samples for us for 3 years. But  the samples did't pass foreigner confirmation so far.  The supplier complained us requirement was too strict. Of course the foreigner engineers thought the chinese parts bad quality.

Every time when we pass the failure message about the samples to HQ, I feel shamed. It hurts my confidence for products made in China.

I hope the supplier can upgrade their quality .While it always saves some money ,then uses bad quality material or reduces some process.

Maybe this time the supplier will deserve for what it did. It made 400pcs roller.But when we run the roller for some times. The roller plastic layer wore off and broke. While the supplier answered the SCAR and said there was no running requirement in the drawing. It is too funny. If the roller were not running, it would be used to show. I decide to bring the supplier memory of it. I will reject the batch of goods.

I hope they can do some change in quality ideals.

Long time I don't come here.I know I have to write something.

This monday Purchaser Mike left our company. He resigned in morning and left at 13:00. Then about one hour later earthquake happened in Sichuan. In fact there is no any relationship between the two activties.

While for me, both of them make me unhappy.

Purchaser has to resign.Because last week he quarreled with Boss.

We have not released purchase order to local suppliers for 7 months. In 7 months, we often ask the supplier to quote for some parts. While after quotation, there will be no next step.

For resignation, I know what is effiency for foreign company.
