Team management

Last  day I watch TV, a performance about team management. It is useful to share it.

Forming a team needs some factors. Thinking, Action and Cooperation.

For Chinese, many people think Chinese are polite. It is a polite and kind country.But on the contrary, we do not do well in Cooperation. For example, one person walked in the subway station and droped down his books from his hands.In China,maybe nobody helps him.  In France, there will many people go to help him in this condition. Helping each other is a kind of cooperation in office.

In many chinese companys, I saw some people drop a piece of small useless paper on the floor in the morning. You stand by to watch it frequently. Until being off, you will find nobody care it. Even someone saw it. He won't bend to pick it and throw it into rubish basket.

A problem is coming. How will you build your team?

To be honest, I have no idea. I meet the same question.When my desk calender droped down on the front my desk.My assistant never cared it. She played her computer without any reaction.

Strange.

I think in China team management there is a long way to walk.

Next time when I am going to recruit somebody.  I drop some books down at the gate of interview room. Those guys who stand by will lose all chances.

Just like you said, there's a long way for us to perfect our team management. However, the more important thing is we shall do some things against this after realizing this. I'm building my team and I think your opinion is very useful for me.

Last last week, I went to a huge company, a national company. the GM is chinese, come from GE. In the interview meeting,  we argue with them about if dust is on the desk, and a customer meeting will kick off, what we should do. The GM's opinion is to find who's reponsibility.

Though polite, being indifferent and not caring enough of other people's well-being is a part of Chinese culture, a bad and sad part of Chinese culture. However, this has nothing to do with how much we can accomplish through teamwork. Effective teamwork relies on good leadership and that requires a lot of training and profound understanding of organizational behavior of human beings.

Thanks above friends suggestion. Anyway the methods are useful.Hope more people can give their opinions.Maybe we will get a better way.

I only think it is an attitude to help the others, althought some detail can decide the success or failure, after all these are a few.If you know statistic principle, you can understand my meaning.

i would suggest you pay more attention on training, you know, it is not because of the ablibilty problems, for a manager, you should let your staff know what you care about, that will make thing easy.
